::My Uncle was KIA on Saipan in 1944 as the 27th Infantry Division fought up the mountain clearing the caves. This statue serves as a wonderful memorial to their sacrifice. "Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends".

::바람이 엄청난 장소, 멋진곳이지만 길이 너무 험합니다. 길도 잘 골라서 오셔야 하고.. 시내에서 가까운 길(구글지도상 루트38)로 가실때는 산길 같은곳으로 가는데 Toyota 4Runner 차량 이상 급 아니면 가지 마시고 돌아서 타포쇼 로드를 통해 가시길 바랍니다. 다른 차량들 보니 못 올라가고 애 먹는게 많이 보였습니다. 그러나 어디로가든 낮은 차체의 밴, 승용차로 가는것은 비추합니다.

::Beautiful views of the whole of Saipan, and the other islands in clear days. Definitely worth the trip. Possible in a regular car, but a 4x4 is recommended. Loses a star for that. Fantastic views but also interesting history described at the top.
