天宁岛位于太平洋马里亚纳群岛，塞班岛西南面。美国海外领地，是北马里亚纳群岛第二大岛屿。天宁岛面积比塞班岛稍小，人口比塞班岛少。在塞班岛南面即可清新眺望天宁岛，天宁岛上有一小型机场，从塞班岛去天宁岛通常乘坐小型螺旋桨飞机，天宁岛地处赤道附近，属于热带海洋气候；天宁岛四季如春，全年阳光充足，昼夜温差很小，天宁岛环境优美，植物茂盛，充满太平洋热带风情。天宁岛也是二战时期的战场，有不少二战遗迹，岛北端有原子弹储存遗址，有当年日军被摧毁的军事装备，有自杀崖等等。

Small local airport that supports hourly flights from Saipan for tourists to enjoy the island. Helpful staff. Great little sandwich shop in the terminal.
